In Memory of Earl Smoot, 1997

In Memory of Earl Smoot, 1997.  Acrylic on wood, about 4′ x 6′.  A local church, Saint Frances Cabrini, asked me to paint a memorial tribute for a ballfield.  Mr. Smoot, whom I’d never met, had liked hot-air ballooning.  I copied the soaring balloons from a greeting card by request of one of the nuns.
