David V. Matthews was born on Neil Young’s twentieth birthday. David’s art and writing have appeared in the Pittsburgh City Paper, Unicorn Mountain, and Barking Sycamores. Critics compared his first book, the short-story collection Meltdown in the Cereal Aisle (2012, revised 2015), to Jonathan Swift and (yes!) Kevin Smith. David is also the subject of a feature-length documentary, Aspie Seeks Love (2015), that has received critical and audience acclaim worldwide (probably in part due to his elderly feline companion, Zima). David lives somewhere in Western Pennsylvania.
